#Reddit st dupont lighters how to
So the question is, how to authenticate this? We've done some research online:Ī. Dupont lighters have some value (which, of course, everybody in this forum knows and now I do too) and (2) like Rolexes, there are many replicas/counterfeits. When we started to research the item, it appears that (1) S.T.
Same brand, but not certain if this tag relates to this lighter. The students we have sorting stuff learned long ago to "throw nothing out and keep related things together". In another drawer (not in the same drawer or in the lighter's box) was the tag that says "No 60893E". And, due to volume over this past year, it's been sitting in our storage for a couple of months.we didn't know what it was, so it wasn't a priority. Dupont brand (although we've dealt with a ton of vinatage Zippos.different league, I know.). I'm embarrased to say that I'd not previously heard of the S.T. all of which we have determined to be authentic. I should note that other items from this estate included a vintage rolex oyster perpetual, a zenith watch, several Seiko diver watches from the early 80's, an 18k gold Masonic ring and other jewelry, two aubergene Mont Blanc pens, etc. Among the things found in one of the dresser drawers, was this box with a lighter marked S.T.Dupont. We've been working through the estate of an older gentleman who was a bit of (understatement!) a hoarder. I'm trying again.Ĭan anyone help me identify the model and the year it was made ? I'm hoping that this will also be instructive/useful for future researchers. First time posting, so I'm not certain text came through.
